The Project
Thanks to the experience gained in the sports sector, The Translation Lounge has decided to set up a language project for Clubs, Federations and, in general, for all the stakeholders involved in Sport events : once witnessed and understood the needs of this world, we have outlined a proposal for interpreting and translation services, by focusing on competence and, most of all, speed.
Our Offer
We provide both translation (i.e. the transposition of a written text from one language to another) and interpreting (i.e. an oral translation, using either the simultaneous or the consecutive modality) services.
Please find below an example of our promotional fees and record delivery times :
Translation of a brochure or newsletter
Ex: 200 words at €17 (instead of €20), with delivery within 12 hours
Translation of contracts and manuals
Ex: 3000 words at €330 (instead of €410), with delivery within 72 hours
Simultaneous or consecutive interpreting
Ex: half working day at €300/interpreter (instead of €375), with service guaranteed even with 36 hours’ notice

About Us
Here’s our Team – Valeria, Germana, Andrea and Hy Sport & Event Cons.
Valeria
has been operating as a professional since 2011, and has specialised in the sports sector.
in fact, aside from various translations, in the last year alone she has interpreted for the États Généraux of Italian sport, the Awarding ceremony of the Collari d’Oro decoration and a Meeting on the Organisational and legal profiles of anti-doping (all organised by CONI), as well as the 3rd Sport Integrity Forum (SIGA) and the presentation of the EU ReSport Project. Morevoer, in this field she is often active as Project Manager and Chef d’équipe.
Germana
Germana is very passionate about languages and interpreting.She studied Translation in Rome,
worked at various sport events as interpreter as well as at the 2009 World Aquatics Championship. After earning a Master in Interpreting and Translation at the Westminster University in London, she has been working as a freelancer between London and Rome.
Andrea
has a thorough knowledge of sport events, in which he has been involved since 2006.
He has worked for 3 Olympics (Turin 2006, London 2012, PyeongChang 2018), 2 of the most relevant World Championships (Aquatics 2009 and Athletics 2017), the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, the inaugural editions of the European Games (Baku 2015) and European Championships (Glasgow 2018), as well as many National and European Basketball events (Eurobasket 2007 and the 2007-2009 seasons with Virtus Pallacanestro Bologna).
Hy Sport & Event Cons.
Founded in 2017, Hy Sport & Event Consulting delivers skills and competences to public and private bodies that want to organise a world-class event, supporting them from the bid to the delivery phase.
Hy is part of The Translation Lounge team from 2018, and is now able to provide even more services during its events.
